Light House Keeping & Laundry

Keeping up with household tasks can be challenging enough when your in good health, but when injury, surgery, or aging has limited your mobility, you may find that you need help in order to remain at home while staying on top of chores.

Duties can consist of: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning kitchen, appliances and removal of trash, cleaning bathrooms, assisting with organizing and straightening of rooms used by the client. Caregivers can assist with laundry needs either in the home or at a laundromat.

Respite/ Companionship

Best Elder Home Care provides in-home Companionship Services to individuals that need basic socialization and supervision and to ensure safety and well-being. To give reilef to family caregivers short term.

Caregivers provide seniors with conversation, mealtime companionship and overall social engaged during their favorite activities in the comfort of their home. Social engagement can improve the quality of life for a senior.

Personal Care

We understand the sensitivity and confidentiality aspects of providing these in-home personal care services. For these reasons our caregivers are well-trained to provide these most important in-Home Care services.

Caregivers assist clients with personal care while still honouring their dignity and independence. Good personal care show undeniable benefits for a senior’s self-esteem and emotional wellbeing. Our care givers can provide transportation and escort to appointments. They can complete errands and shopping for you when getting out is difficult.

Medication Reminders

Caregivers cannot administer medications but the can assist in ensuring that a client takes their medication as prescribed. A caregiver can help with opening a medication container, reading labels and reminding a client when it is time for next dose.

Transferring and Positioning

Transferring is one of the top priorities in helping client move around their homes. This may include getting in and out of bed, chairs, and wheelchairs. Caregivers are trained on proper transferring and repositioning to reduce sore or pressure spots. Toileting can also be a time to assist client with transferring on and off the commode. Incontinence care can be a sensitive nature of toileting for our clients. Caregivers are trained to offer compassionate and dignified assistance for their client..
